Still in talks and details for Monday morning

Our tired but committed Bargaining Team is in negotiations today with the mediator and the District.

Amistad staff is ready to show solidarity on Monday.

While the District postponed their event yesterday, we will meet Monday, 6:45-7:45 a.m., at the Admin. Building for our own Staff Excellence Rally. Wear red, of course, and please plan on arriving bright and early. We'll have a bargaining update, donuts, water, signs and a strong show of solidarity before heading off for the 8 a.m. start time on the "use or lose" day at school.

We'll also have details and instructions for what to do in upcoming days should we end up on strike and there is a lockout. Park at the Admin. Building, Amistad, Phoenix and nearby street parking. We'll see you there.

In preparation for the strike, members from schools across Kennewick are signing up to be picket captains and zone coordinators. Let KEA know if you are interested in helping at any level.
