If our students (even our future students) don't have access to high-quality teachers, they won't have the same opportunities as those in cities as close as Pasco and Richland.
The District has the money from the state to pay competitive wages. They are choosing, instead, to spend it on "stuff" rather than people.
There’s no place we’d rather teach, but we must feel certain that we can care for our own children and families too.
Our students deserve the best learning conditions including appropriate recess times, manageable class sizes, appropriate student support services and quality planning time for instructors.
The District's last proposal implies they want the least experienced teachers at the cheapest cost rather than high-quality instruction and experienced teachers who remain in our schools.
